Telemarketing service contract scam

I have received several calls over the past few months from this company, or a telemarketing company representing them. It's always the same pitch..."we're calling you to remind you about your annual service on your heating and air conditioning system". Presumably, they count on catching a few people who may not remember that they never had a service contract with this company and sign them up for one.
I have repeatedly told them that I'm not falling for their scam and that I am on the DO NOT CALL list. What ever became of that list?
