Because I wanted Impact Windows and Doors for my home I interviewed several vendors and received quotes.in my research for acceptable vendors, Florida Impact Windows and doors ad caught my eye.

The ad said I was to receive 25% off the estimate with the mention of the ad at the time of the estimate. I did that and was told "we don't honor that — we feel our prices are low enough" The ad had one phone no. Listed and so only one vendor could be subject to it. Therefore, there was no "we" involved in the matter.

The second strike came soon afterwards as in the estimate was added $250 for a permit. After much protest on my part for such a steep fee, I was told I would get reimbursed for the difference; they just had to charge the one amount because every city was different.

After asking him to add it to the contract (more than one request was issued) he refused saying again I had nothing to worry about because I would get reimbursed for the difference.

After the installation, I saw the permit cost only about $140. I mentioned that I was expecting a reimbursement check, but was told they needed the money "for other things pertaining to the permit" therefore I would not get reimbursed.

The third strike came when the installation workers left and I noticed later that I was missing a $150 tool and a few minor things. The company refused to acknowledge this at all.

I feel that I am due a sum of money and am still fighting this.
