Edwin Acevedo No license, does not answer the phone, did not comply with warranty

On September Mr. Edwin Acevedo from Lawn Sprinkler System presented himself and his company at our house.
He offered sprinkler system maintenance and his sales pitch was that he worked on the initial community development with the sprinkler system and that he still provides maintenance services to individuals in the community.
He quoted us a replacement of the sprinkler pump with a refurbished pump for 150 dollars and six month of warranty, plus each sprinkler head repair at 10 dollars. My wife and I agreed and Mr. Acevedo and an employee did the job. We paid him a total of $260.00 for the completed job.
Three to four weeks later the pump stopped working. We tried to reach Mr. Acevedo and it took us three weeks to finally get a hold of him. Two weeks later he tells us that we have to replace the pump with a new one and that he will need $100 dollars more.
