Contract violation

Hired Mid-State Roofing to remove and replace a roof and balcony on the rear of my home. We signed a contract for $1,750.00 Mr. Christine asked for $1,250.00 down paid that amount the day the job was finished Mr. Christine came to my home before the job was finished handed me a hand written note claiming I owed him an additional $2,469.00 I paid him. But after the job was finished I found the job to be a disaster. They used lumber that wasn't pressure treated, 2x2's were split where srcews were placed and some of the 2x2's were not screwed securely to the 4x4's. There was a row of about 15 nails that was left without any tar to cover the seam. Also codes and acts for consumer protection were violated. I filed a civil suite won the case but has yet to be paid. Mr. Christine filed an appeal now the case is waiting to be heard by a court.
