Help - mousekadoer laptop

Mousekadoer Laptop mouse hasn't worked since the first two weeks of operation. Hardly used, well looked after, store where bought refused return as it was 30 days after purchase date.informed i have statutory rights as consumer. What do i do? My 2 y.O. Girl loves Mickey & i don't want to buy any more toys as they just don't keep upto the standards expected from a product designed to be used with a younger consumer. The Mickey Mouse with Learn howto dress etc... I have from years ago still hasn't broke.
