A number of investors in Atenas, Costa Rica have fallen victims to a builder named Pedro Sibaja Miranda. Our group lost over $400,000. We were referred to the builder by a young American real estate agent working in the Atenas area, Jeffery Hickcox.
Pedro paid Jeff a commission on each new construction referral and Jeff talked us into giving most of the money up front. Pedro is recommended on page 236 of Jeff new book, Real Estate Investing Guide Costa Rica.
Beware of unethical practices by both Pedro and Jeff.
