The issue this person had with their coping is actually addressed in the contract that is signed before construction begins. It is ALWAYS explained that when choosing a non-manmade rock product to be placed around the pool that erosion and chipping are natural processes that ALL rocks go through. The statement that "everyone in town" knows this is bad coping is ignorant and goes to show that you obviously lack logic and communication skills. Read your contract more carefully next time, and assume that when you use God-made materials in your construction, God's natural processes will take place over time. I also find it very hard to believe that the issue wasn't addressed at all, and I believe eventually after trying several applications of sealant, that your coping was indeed replaced.
