Overcharge, lease cancelling, fraud, lies, realestate, rental, ripoff, property, Security Deposit Statement

I am in the Army, and deployments are not uncommon. Most rental agencys around here follow the Military Clause. Hunter Rentals is one of those that "follow" said Military Clause.

I was a tennate in one of Hunter Rentals assigned properties. I lived there from to 2007. I kept the house while I went to my first deployment in 2005. As I received my new deployment orders October I went to the Hunter Rentals office to have my name be removed off of my lease. My ex wife was to continue living there until her deployment which was 2 months after mine. When I brought in my orders, and asked to be removed off the lease I was informed that was not neccessary. I explained my situation, and a woman explained to me that my wife could just cancel the lease. I then kept my copy of my orders, and left. I had faith in the person behind the counter, and had faith my exwife would not screw me over.

While in Iraq I received a Security Deposit Statement. It said I owe $3,862.70 minuse my $570.00 Deposit. This resulted in a final amount owed by to to be $3292.70. I moved out to deploy in October, and Hunter Rentals states I owe Rent for Nov 07 to Jan 08, $1920.00. I owed Nov Late fee, and Cost of reletting $608.00. It also said I owe several other small fees that added up. There were 7 additional fees I am disputing. End result I am disputing 2928.00 in fees.

Now I agree that I owe $934.70, and after they take out my $570.00 security deposit I owe $364.70.

Right now my dispute is under review, and it doesnt sound promising.
