A (doing business as) Tortoise Roofiing, due to ruining the name Pace Roofing, is owned by Kevin Pace, and ran by a sales team that has no more than 6 months of roofing experience combined. And the company is about $200,000 in debt. The company vehicle is not even in his name, it is in his mother's name, Shirley Pace. He can't even afford to have the light and brake setup in his company trailer fixed.

They offer 10 year workmanship warranties, and the owner is dying of leukemia, and is $200,000 in debt at least by lawsuits, past due bills for materials, and other outstanding obligations. If the company does not go under by the time the owner passes on, it will be out of business when he passes.

Kevin also has employed 2 mentally retarded individuals to knock door to door for him in hopes of developing insurance claims, and hired them because he knows that he can get away with not paying them, because they do not know any better, and can count on them working and not quitting.

He is currently being sued on multiple counts for damage of property due to his crew's work (he only has one crew, and two of them speak english).

He moved his office to 4291 Austin Bluffs Parkway, Colorado Springs, Colorado in late April of it is July, and he has not changed his address with the BBB.

Tortoise Roofing is known for poor workmanship, over pricing, and poor follow up when it comes to repairs, and cutting corners to make jobs cheaper and more cost effective for the company.

This company sold a trim and gutter job in February It took them 6 months to complete a job that should have been done in 3 days, and the roof on the same house failed inspection for exposed nails, and a leak above the electrical breaker box in the basement, due to poor flashing of the roof.

Pace Roofing, DBA Tortoise roofing, is not a company i would trust to shingle my dog house.
