American Air Duct Cleaning
Charged me for services that I discovered later were not done then refused to refund money

This company is a complete scam. They are an air duct cleaning company. When I purchased my new house in May I had the air ducts cleaned because of allergies even though it was an expense that I really couldn't afford right then I figured it would be worth it in the end.

They charge by the number of vents in the home and then they charge extra for the return vents and other things also which seems to be typical of most companies who perform these services.

I was charged for 2 medium return air vents and 2 large return air vents which totaled $100 for that portion of the service. About 2 weeks ago when I was getting ready tp paint I discovered that whoever owned my home before had caulked and painted around the return air vents making it impossible for the vents to be removed which in turn means they could not have been cleaned by American air duct cleaning.

I have been talking to the people who answer the phones there and they are completely incompetent and refuse to let me talk to a manager. They have 2 different phone numbers which the same moron answers every time. I have been promised now for 6 days in a row that I will get a call back from the manager but have never had a return call.

They tried to tell me that they can be cleaned without removing the covers. Yet the next sentence was that the technician will be punished for what he did... Well if it is standard to clean them without removing covers why is the technician being repremanded.

Please don't use this company. They are very good at giving a run-around and no good at the job they are supposed to be doing. They are dishonest and extremely rude on the phone making me feel like I'm wrong to complain when they are the ones who screwed up.
