KB Home misleading homeowners

We are in the process of building a KB home in the Blackberry Creek subdivision of Summerville, SC. I was excited to build a new home and the process began without a hitch. As the construction began we found it more and more difficult to have our concerns addressed. The superintendent would not respond to our questions or concerns. We were refered to a supervisor by the name of Brad. He informed us that he would resolve our issues if we agreed to lie on a JD power survey and give the company perfect marks. If we did not comply he could not guarantee that the issues would be resolved. We told him this was unethical and he told us that we could always back out of the contract and forfeit our down payment. We feel as if we are being strongarmed by this Brad supervisor. We have had conversations with other homeowners and they all told us to do what Brad says and that he would give us extras that were not part of our contract if we complied. The people that already closed were bragging about all the extras they received. Free sod, a wider driveway and upgraded components. I just cannot sell my soul for a couple of "extras". We are scheduled to close in July. At this point we are weighing our options and not sure what stance we are going to take. We are fearful of retaliation by KB Home if we take this issue to the press and we don't want a home that isn't built correctly.
