Bryant will not honor the warrenty on a heater because the company we bought it from went out of business

We were having a problem with our Bryant Plus 80V heater. Call the company only to find out they were bought out by another company. We were told by the company that they bought the old companys assests not its liability. They would come out but for a fee. We were sure the unit was not installed correctly. But they would not honor the warrenty. We contacted Bryant Heating & Cooling System to see what could be done and their reply was "It is unfortunate your original dealer went out of business. We in turn called a Bryant dealer and paid to have them come out. They said it was not installed correctly and fixed the problem... Since this wasn't under warrenty we had to pay for this service. Bryant directly would not do anything about this problem. Their closing statement to us was Bryant, Whatever it takes. They did nothing to help us. Thank you.
