Roll-A-Hose
Ripoff, hose sprung a leak during 3rd use, 10 year guarantee what a joke

Construction & Repair

I recently purchased a Roll-A-Hose at the local Home Depot for $17.99. When using the hose for only the third time, the hose sprung a leak about 8" inches from where the hose connects to the faucet.

I knew the hose had a guarantee, so I pulled the paperwork. There was no 800 number listed that I could call. As I read the 10 year guarantee, I was surprised to find that I would have to pay $5.95 for shipping and handling in order for them to send me a replacement. On top of that, I would have to pay the cost for shipping the defective unit to Roll-A-Hose!

Some guarantee, don't you think? Pay them once, and if your not satisfied, send them some more money with a letter stating your reason for disatisfaction, and they'll send you another bum hose. Looks like I'll be going back to the old fashioned rubber garden hose.

By the way, don't fall for the BONUS Rotospray and mighty sweep advertised on the outside of the box. They are not free. They will cost you another $4.99 for shipping and handling.
