Abandoned Job - Walked off with $30,000, did pay subs

John Ainlay/Turnkey Contracting was in the middle of completing our kitchen remodeling when he walked off of the job. We had paid him over $47,000 and he had only completed Foundation and Framing. The bulk of the $68,000 job had yet to be completed. We paid him a down payment, a draw after foundation and a draw after framing. We also learned that he did not even pay the framer who has put a lien on our house.

If you have someone do a background search on John Ainlay you will find multiple civil suits against him and his current company as well as his previous company back in the '90's.

He has also filed for bankruptcy at least once.

We are currently suing to try an recover our money.
