Failure to honor sales agreement

I purchased a hot tub enclosure from My Bath through Ebay on 11/2/08. My Bath sent me an e-mail on 11/5/08 confirming receipt of my credit card payment and indicating that the enclosure was being shipped. I waited approximately one month then checked My Bath's website for shipping status, which confirmed that the hot tub enclosure had shipped and was en-route.

However, on 12/24/08 I rec'd an e-mail from My Bath indicating that they would not be able to deliver the item that I had ordered. I called My Bath to inquire as to why the order was being cancelled and I was told that "due to the poor economy that they would not be able to deliver the hot tub enclosure for the price it had sold for on Ebay." No further explanation was given.

I was told that they had refunded the purchase price to my credit card. I checked with my credit card company, and they informed me that My Bath had not refunded the charge to my account. I ended up having to dispute the charge w / my credit card company in order to get them to refund the charge as My Bath never did. Unfortunately, I had purchased other items from other companies related to the hot tub enclosure purchase including a platform/foundation and landscaping products, so due to My Bath's failure to honor their sale, I was not stuck w / $1500 in related purchases in addition to the headache related to trying to get My Bath to refund the purchase price of the hot tub enclosure.

This company cannot be trusted to honor their sale price or deliver the pruduct that they are promising. Avoid doing business w / these crooks at all costs - save yourself a lot of stress and $!!!
