Jay's Lawn Care And Landscaping Aka Jay Lanham, Daughter & Employees Unethical Landscaper causes thousands in damages and gives perjured court testimony

This business is as unethical and unprofessional as they come. They do whatever they want, however they want regardless of what you request. Their work is shoddy at best and they will do the work while you are not able to supervise or give input on the job so that you have absolutely no control over the job. I asked them not to come until my next day off work so I could supervise the project and let them know what I wanted done.instead they came the next day when I was out of town, did a crap job, destroyed my organic yard by dumping contaminated "fill" dirt in it, left grass and weeds all the outbuildings and trees and then stuck a bill to my door charging me for things they never even did. Ie $250 for "tilling/raking" which was never done.

They do not provide you with a written contract so you have NO protection whatsoever for damages to your property or to ensure that they actually do the job they're hired for.

I ended up with over $14000 worth of damage to my property which I had spent 4yrs preparing for organic certification to start a new business so I could retire from my current job and to grow food for my family. I had hired him to completely clear the land of all vegetation to prepare for installation of landscaping beds, beds for an organic garden, new sod and the installation of new fencing and a dog run.

When I refused to pay because the job was so incompetently done, and because they were charging me for services never performed this ass took me to court.in court he, his daughter and all the employees gave perjured testimony by fabricating outrageous lies in response to a claim I'd filed w/the Better Business Bureau. He claimed in court that I hired him to "rock in" a 1/2 acre yard! The lies were so preposterous my jaw was hanging open in utter disbelief. They even collaborated w/another local landscaper (Martin's Landscaping) who had actually come out and given me an estimate to repair the damage by re-doing the entire job. (This town operates on the Good Ole Boy system and no one can be trusted, even the courts are biased) and had him testify for THEM!

These people have absolutely NO morals, scruples, integrity or ethics. They are EXTREMELY smug and arrogant and will F#@* you over any way they can.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS AND HIRE A PRE-SCREENED, PROFESSIONAL with an OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE (NOT just a business license) Make sure they are REGULATED by the STATE so you have legal recourse. Always have a witness present at all times and take BEFORE and AFTER photos of your project.
