I received on August 5 a letter from a company called Premier Holdings Inc. That sent me a final international home improvement grant notification congratulating me that I was approved in category "A" of the North American Grant paid to qualified and randomly selected applicants across the U.S.A. And Canada.

They included a check for $3,970.00 and told me to call a number to activiate the check first the number to call would be 1-289-892-2976 and that you would be asked to quote your claim number and your preferred option (A), (B) or (C). Also ask our claim manger how you can qualify for additional grants to suit your home improvement needs. You will be advised of the agent assigned to you when you call to activate your check.

$37,050.00 has been disbursed to you as a final cash settlement, this amount wll remain in our custody until you pay the necessary fees and applicable taxes. Once we receive your payment, you will receivee a second check being your final award settlement within 3-5 business days by courier delivery. So the check that was sent with this was to be cashed by way of western union and sent to them the fee and rest you could do as you wish and the other award settlement will be sent to you 3-5 business days.

I felt uncomfortable about all this so I did some checking and found out that it as a scam by doing research on the internet I found this sire complaint.
