J.C. s Carports And Garages - J.C.'s Metal Buildings
There noses keep growing! Can they sleep at night having taken our $702.75 with nothing in return but broken promises of a refund!?!

On April 7 my husband and I sent a deposit of $702.75 to the J.C.'s Carports and Garages located in DeLand, Florida. We found this company in our LOCAL thrift paper.

To my understanding when they received our deposit they would call us to finalize the order. We waited a week or so, and then called them to be sure they received our payment. They had received it, so we made the final order, and their sales rep by the name of Kristin said they would be sending our plans and paperwork.

During that call, Kristin gave my husband, John, the specs for the concrete we were going to pour. We hired a concrete company, and waited for our plans so we could get a permit. Without the plans we were unable to get a permit, so we were basically in limbo until the plans arrived.

The plans took weeks to get to us, and when we called them several times we got there machine & no one returned our calls. Around May 1 we finally got Kristin on the phone, and she informed us that she had mailed the plans but they must have gotten lost along the way somewhere. She assured us she would resend them A.S.A.P. And to date that is the only thing J.C. S has kept there word on. We received our plans on May 8. When we went to get our permit we discovered several things wrong,

1. The Colorado Engineer seal was dated 8/25 and it could only be up to a year old.
2. The wind exposure for our county was incorrect.
3. We were not allowed to do a monolithic foundation with a metal building in our county.

We contacted J.C. S on May 15 and spoke with Kristin again. Kristin took our message and informed us that she did not have the authority to give us a refund, but if we were unable to get a permit then we were entitled to a refund. She would have the manager call us back.

Well, to date they have called us back ONE TIME. At this point we were calling at least 3 or four times a week and leaving massages.

On May 26 My Husband finally reached a man by the name John. He was very concerned, and said he would call our regional building department and speak with them to come to some sort of agreement seeing as our yard had been prepared for a monolithic foundation. He assured my husband he would call back that afternoon whether he spoke with the building department or not.

We never heard from him, and then a few more weeks went by with us leaving daily messages with no return calls. Every now and then Kristin would answer, and promise a call back as soon as her boss was back in the office. Again no return calls.

I called on June 16 and asked to speak with Mr. Collins and the voice on the other end said, "This is he." However he also claimed to be the man my husband spoke with about contacting the building department, and his name was John.

I explained our situation to him and he was very apologetic and promised to mail our refund the next day on June 17. He said to give it until Friday or Saturday, we waited even through Mondays mail, but nothing came.

On June 24 after several calls my husband got through to the same man. Again he seemed very concerned and promised to overnight our refund, and he was also going to call my husband in an hour to confirm that fact. Needless to say we never got the call.

About 4 hours later I called and got Kristin, she put me on hold, and then came back and said John was out of the office but she would have him call when he returned, but she didnt know when that would be.

Well no one called so I finally made a report with the BBB of Central Florida on June 24th.

We waited a few weeks to contact them again hoping the BBB report would work in our favor.

Well after about two weeks I called and got Kristin, She again said "He is with customers." I told her, "I will hold." Well I was on hold for a LONG time on my cell phone so I hung up. To my surprise "HE" called back!!!

I asked him if he got our repeated messages we left on the machine and with Kristin. He blamed her, again was very apologetic, and AGAIN promised to overnight our money with a call in 45 minutes to confirm that it went out. NOTHING ONCE AGAIN!

Well now my husband calls almost daily leaving multiple messages, with his name and number. This has been going on for weeks. I finally got Kristin again on July 23."HE" was on the other phone, I said, I will hold, then some other lady gets on and starts being rude to me then HUNG UP ON ME! I was crying I just can't see how people can look themselves in the mirror.
BEWARE OF DOING BUISNESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
They are dishonest, they steal, and they put you off, and lie with a pleasant tone!
They put there add out to people around the country; promise to be legit, then RIP YOU OFF!
