Zoysia Farms
Company not willing to back up product

Construction & Repair

After a year of waiting for the grass to grow and the assurance from the sales staff when purchased 6/20/07, the grass did not grow.

When I received the shipment I proceeded to plant it.instead of planting the plugs I chose to plant in two strips so this would make it easier to observe growth.

I had called customer service and was assured the plants would do well despite the brown, dead appearance. Customer service told me to give it time and the product was 100 per cent guaranteed.

Well I called today, 7/24/08, Lisa told me the warranty was up and have no recourse but to lump it. Not in exactly those words, same meaning.

I sent a fax to John Ridgeway and received a call almost immediately from a woman stating I am out of luck.interestingly, the call came from Allegheny Bronze. Not sure what that caller ID has to do with grass. I believe the old company was "bought out".

Anyway, I am disappointed with Zoysia Farms and if you decide to buy from them, be advised, take good notes or record what they say. Rest a sure it will change. Copy all sales or Internet materials.

I lost $159.00. Being on a fixed income is quite a hit for me. I live in Southwest Florida near Ft Myers where water restrictions are strict and the ground is called sugar sand.

Hope this helps someone else.
