Tiger House Inspection.
We had a buyer for our Needham home. It is an older house and here was work that needed to be done.in our conversation with the buyer and real estate agent we were very forthcoming with information. To accommodate the needed work our selling price was lowered substantially. Tiger came into our home and took over for more then three hours. During this time we left to give them free range. This was a mistake. Upon our return we noticed the house in disarray. Lights were left on and the door to the electric box was left open. Wood was chipped away from a patio door. Debris from were they had chipped at the drains in the upstairs tub was left. The hot water heater and the heat were turned off. My husband was not aware of the hot water heater until he took a shower the next day. Needless to say it was a cold shower. Luckily it was warm weather so the heat from the furnace was not an issue. Many of the listed items were not true. Our floors were sloping. Never heard of that one. Have the chimney exterior and interior checked. Yes, we do that on a yearly basis since we use the fireplace. We have the paperwork as proof. "Pest Infestation" was a main point. Yes, there are carpenter ants and we treat this yearly. The buyer thought it was termites. There was obviously no discussion of the difference. We have lived in this house for over twenty years and raised two children without problems. Also again I'll mention the fact that we lowered our price substantially. Needless to say they buyers were scared and withdrew the offer. Too bad they missed out on a great house in a great town.
