I purchased bamboo flooring from SimpleFloors online. While the flooring arrived at my home when promised, the trim pieces I ordered at the same time were not included in the shipment. It took five phone calls and two months before I received the trim pieces. They gave me the run around and told me numerous lies in those two months. And that was just the beginning.

After receiving the trim pieces, my flooring contractor determined that the trim pieces were incorrect for my installation and I need a different kind of trim piece. I called SimpleFloors so I could return the trim pieces I received and order the kind my contractor recommended.

When I called them they said I needed to talk to my original sales person. They put me through to his line but was immediately sent to his voicemail. I left a detailed message. I did not hear back from the sales person for four days so I called back again. I was sent to his voicemail again where I left another detailed message.

When I did not hear back in another four days I called back and asked for another saleman who would actually return my call. They connected me to another person, who I actually spoke to, and told him the situation. He said he would get back to me the next day. When I didn't hear back from him in four days, I called back yet again. I'm sure that since I told them I wanted to return something a concerted effort was made NOT to return my phone calls.

This time when I called back I was told that I could not return the trim pieces because it had been over two weeks since I received them. I informed the woman that I had been calling trying to make arrangements to return the trim pieces for over two weeks. She said they would have to check with the two salespersons to verify that I had called. Guess what, not surprisingly there was no record of me calling either salesperson. So they would not, under any circumstances, accept a return on the trim pieces.

I asked to speak to a manager. The person on the phone would not let me do so. When I informed her that perhaps letting me return $100 of trim pieces (-$25 re-stocking fee, $75 net) would be better than negative publicity, she said she would talk to a manager.

She called me back a couple of days later and said the manager OK'd the return and gave me information on how to return the trim pieces. I was to receive the $75 as credit towards the order of the other trim pieces. They were going to call me when the return arrived and then I was to order the new pieces.

I sent the trim pieces by FedEx the next day. I heard nothing for 7 days. I called SimpleFloors. They claimed they never recieved the trim pieces. Yet, when I checked with FEDeX, they gave the exact date and time that SimpleFloors received the shipment. I called and they again denied receiving the shipment.

I have no doubt that after they recieved the trim pieces, they put them back into their stock to sell again.

Ladies and gentlemen, do yourselves a favor and buy flooring somewhere else. The customer service at Simple Floors is atrocious. I have NEVER been treated so badly by any other company. The people are liars and thieves.
No one should have to go through what I did.
