Corruption deceptive company screwed others too slow processing

My husband and I purchased four sets of furniture two years ago from The Roomstore. We opted for the 12 months no interest no payment plan.

We contacted a customer service rep as the end of 12 months approached. We asked for the payoff amount and a date this was due. She gave us the information and we sent a check for payment in full.

This was one year ago. We still have not received acknowledgement of payment and we are being billed for the balance (which is over $5,000.00) plus interest accrued.

We have copies of our cancelled check, which they presented for payment twice. This resulted in a fee from our bank. We have sent faxes, contacted all appropriate persons and spent an enormous amount of time trying to resolve this.

We have been given the runaround, asked for the same information numerous times and a year later nothing has changed.

This has been a nightmare. We have been put through a large amount of undeserved stress. This story has been shared with anyone and everyone we can possibly warn.

We could never have imagined the antics that have been pulled. Unfortunately, the level that this has reached now will need to been rectified in court. So on top of the money they are trying to take us for, we now have lawyer fees.
