Price gouging shipping fees

The website is called "FurnitureHalfPrice". First of all, only some of the furniture is half price, most is 30-35% off. Secondly, the website is making up for lower prices of furniture by charging shipping and handling fees of 80-90% of the cost of the items.

The cost of the item was $444.15 and with shipping and handling the cost was $612.96 for CURBSIDE delivery or $777.96 for delivery inside your home.

So for the item to be delivered inside your home, the shipping and handling fees were $332.81. Delivery takes 6 to 8 wks regardless of which shipping fee you pay. You also have to email the website to get the "shipping quote", it's not listed on the website anywhere.

I believe this is unethical business practice. I emailed the site and got a rude response from the "marketing director".

I found the same exact item, same manufacturer, etc. On Overstock.com. The price of the item was $50 more than on FurnitureHalfPrice but the shipping and handling was $2.95.
