Very unpolitically correct and downright rude!

I went to purchase a grill for my husband for christmas and my friend let me borrow his truck to pick up the grill since it was going to be a surprise. When i arrived i purchased the grill and two gentlemen came out to help load it up. They first lifted the grill into the back of the truck upright, then the first gentlemen went back into the store leaving the second gentlemen to finish the job. I proceeded to ask him if he was going to tie down the grill and he simply said no, i'm going to position it so that it doesn't go anywhere while driving. I asked if he was sure and he insisted that everything would be okay. Now since i am a woman and i don't generally load or haul things... And being that he works for a company that does... I trusted his word.

Needless to say, i was about 2/3 of the way home when the very expensive grill toppled over and dented and banged it up horribly. When i got home, i called the store and spoke to a Bill. I explained what happened and asked if i could come back and get a new grill. He started laughing at me and asked me for the name of the guy who loaded the grill. I gave him his name and he laughed AGAIN and said that i should've known that a grill HAS to be tied down and that the guy who loaded my truck was mentally retarded. He did not say it in a nice professional manner either. He hesistated then asked me to come to the store and he would exchange it for me and if they didn't have anymore that he would just refund my money. (very rude) then he hung up on me. I was so frustrated i could've screamed! I went all the way back down there and he refused to help me (being that he's the world's greatest manager and everything) and one his employees helped me. I figured out his name is bill bastian and i wouldn't do business there ever again. I could not believe he treated his employee and his customer this way.
