This company did the same thing to me. I ordered a $1200 piece of furniture back in April. They took the money, but never sent the merchandise. Repeated phone calls got me nowhere, I was repeatedly told to "be patient."
I contacted their delivery company, Sun Delivery, who told me the furniture was there, but Direct Furniture had never paid the manufacturer for it so I couldn't get it shipped.
The Better Business Bureau looked into it and told me they had numerous similar complaints. I sent a certified letter to the address listed on the website in Mundelein, IL to advise I planned to pursue civil litigation, but it came back saying, "no such address." I tried to do a reverse charge on my credit card, but they said I had waited too long, as they only do reverse charges after 30 days.
