Complaint: Interior Innovations Christopher Connor and Gil

On March 26 I saw a bedroom set for my daughter on eBay. I contacted the seller captainofone and his store was Interior Innovations and asked him for a price for eight pieces. On March 27 Gil called me back with a price of $1,830.00 for all eight pieces and i went ahead and told him to order it for me - this being the Summerdale Girls Youth Bedroom Set. He sent me an email with the eight pieces and it being sold to myself. On April 16th Gil rec'd the final payment for the furniture and he told me that the furniture was ordered, it would take apporximately 4 - 6 weeks for delivery. Once the 4-6 weeks passed i contacted Gil and asked for a tracking number and crrier information for the furniture and got a sob story as to why he couldn't get it shipped to me, the prices quoted were too expensive, he couldn't find a rep. Carrier etc. He also told me to call him back in a day or two and he would have it all finalized thru his assistante - Angel whom handled the shipping. He too would tell me he was not in the office, to call him back later when he was so he could give me the information I wanted. I'd call him back when he asked me to, but it always went to voicemail or his mailbox was full. I kept calling and paging him and eventually he would call me back with another reason as to why I had not got my furniture yet.

The last time I heard from Gil was June 20th in which he told me - the refund was in the mail, he would stand by his word that if he could not get me the furniture, he would refund me the money. Well of course, no refund was rec'd by me and then lo and behold on Thursday, June 21st I get a phone call from a Christopher Connor who tells me he is the owner of Interior Innovations, Gil no longer works for the company and he was not aware of what Gil was doing - basically he told me that Gil embezzeled the money for me and others and he would rectify the situation. He gave me his cell phone to call anytime and he would make sure I got my furniture. Well Thursday, June 28th Christopher leaves a message on my phone letting me know - they have my furniture, he would expidite the shipment to me at no cost - they would take care of it and he would call me back at the end of the week with the tracking/carrier info. It is now Monday, July and I have not heard a word back from Christopher. There have been 5 messages left for him but to no avail.

In reading the Rip Off report: Decorators Model Homes Fraudulent Mel - The Black Hole of Furniture, I am positive that Mel Lieberman is Gil from Interior Innovations - I believe that Decoratos Model Homes of Arlington heights, Illinois is Interior Innovations - they are going by all different names and they need to be stopped. I believe that they are ripping people off using different names and identities. I have also filed a BBB Complaint with Chicago as well as an Internet Fraud Claim form with the Attorney General's office in Illinois.

Def. Do not do business with this company - they are scam artists and need to be stopped. If anyone else reads this and feels they have had the same experience, please feel free to contact me at strong_iris@yahoo.com. I am trying to piece this together and get information on these people - this is fraud and theft and they need to be stopped, arrested and ordered to pay back the people who they ripped off!
