Does not honor mantra we're not satisfied until you are satisified Northern New Jersey

Last year my husband and I spent over $700 with Scott's to have our lawn serviced. We had bare spots, grubs, and crabgrass.
Now that Spring has sprung we are seeing little signs of improvment from last year.
Scott's was nice enough to send us a "technician" at the begining of the season without our approval. When we refused his service, I recieved a phone call asking us why we sent him away. I then told the woman, that we did not authorize a new contract and that we were extremely unsatisfied with last years service. She agreed to send someone else out. A week later someone else came, that afternoon, when we got home there was an assessment done on the lawn saying: we have bare spots, crab grass and weeds (duh)... And that it could be rectified for an introductory offer of $54.90!!
Well obviuosly this didn't sit well - I made another phone call, they made another one back to me. Apparently, the Scott's lawn service we recieved last
year came from a franchise operation, and unfortunately Scott's can not rectify the situation! But they are aware that these franchises were doing shotty work and that is why the Scott's corporation has begun to buy the franchises out!
So seeing that I was upset by this I was offered 5% of my order if I were order another season of service! Ha! So I made another call... I was told this time that I would have to go up the ranks in phone call representatives. The next person who would call me would
be a man named Mike Pribanic. He never called. But I did recieve a generic letter from him today. He was sorry to lose us a customer, and if we signed up for another season we would get 50% of our first application and 50% off our last application. WOW! So this is why I'm writing to you (and CC: Scottslawncare service). Spread the word... If you know someone or if you, yourself were thinking of using Scotts for your lawn care service... Think about it! Pass up the introductory offers and
do it yourself.
