Washing Machine RIPOFF Bought a MAYTAG WASHERS, but found out it was a NORGE! Ripoff

In 2002 I spent the extra money and bought a Maytag Washer, thinking it would last for years. It started making a loud racket during the spin cycle and leaking over the weekend. The repairman came on Monday and informed me that "Center seal is worn out, spin bearing and assembly are bad too... Do Not Recommend Repair", and to top it off - he informed me that is wasn't even a Maytag! It is a Norge?! What is a Norge?

The repairman said that Maytag bought out Norge and simply put their name on the Norge washing machines that I apparently bought! The Norge model I have is not not even repairable because parts are hard to find and not cost effective to even repair.

I think this is a huge ripoff on Maytag's part and have contacted the company. I haven't heard back yet.

If you have had similar problems, please email me. I now know of 2 other people having similar problems. I think another class action suit is in order. Talk about fraud! Spending the big bucks for a "trusted" name brand and now find out it wasn't even what I purchased?!
