This Company is Dishonest Both to Customers and Wholesalers Stay Away ripoff

I was a wholesaler/distributor for Ergo Pedic. My first clue to all their dishonesty should have been the hundreds of customer service calls I received because my website was easier for them to find. Almost all of the calls had complaints about not receiving their beds, wrong beds, or wrong charges on their cards; and that after multiple phone calls to Ergo Pedic the problem had not been resolved.

The next clue should have been when a customer who had spoken to Owner George Klauss personally and wanted to buy a bed but could not get a hold of George and that he was ready to go somewhere else. I convinced him to buy and instead of taking the order myself I called Desiree. I said we should split the commission because without me she would not have gotten the sale. She got very defensive and answered noway! Long Story short after many phone calls, no commission.

The last and final straw was the first one I ever sold! A customer 1 1/2 hour drive from Ergo Pedic Ordered and 3000 cal. Queen from me. I put the order in to Desiree and he received it in 2 days. (Everyone else can expect 3 weeks) He immediately called me and said this was not the bed he ordered. I had him email me pictures and sure enough it didn't look right. I called George (who you can never get a hold of) and had to speak to Desiree. She mumbled something about the beds being changed and that she would check into it. Of Course, I didn't hear from here. I called again and emailed her the pictures. She said she couldn't tell. I said then send someone out there to varify. I got the run around for 2 weeks then. (I knew they were stalling to get passed to 30 day sleep trial)

As the 28th day approached, the customer just wanted to return it and I wanted them to pick it up. (George Klauss and the customer had set up several dates by now that Ergo Pedic did not show up for) George Klauss told me just to let the customer file a dispute, he wouldn't win, and I could keep the money. (Big red flag) I threatened him at that point and said if it wasn't picked up in the next 24 hours and credited to my account that day I would quit business with him get my lawyer involved. He said it would be picked up and my credit card would be credited as soon as they receive it.By they way there description of their 3000 Mattress changed the day after my first complaint, so the sale was a bait and switch.

A week went by no refund, I called George and he said they hadn't received it yet. I said I have a signed receipt saying otherwise. We said he would get it done. Another week goes by, no refund, called George;"out of the office, weekend etc". By now I am yelling and demanding, again he promises to get it done. I waited 3 days, no refund. I contacted my merchant account, visa, and went straight to my bank to file a dispute. I got the run around from everyone but it came down to deceptive selling practices, bait and switch, not honoring written 30 day sleep trial, and delivering the wrong item. Since I had immediately reversed all the customers charges, I had been out the money by 6 weeks now. My bank took 2 more weeks to get back to me that George Klauss was fighting my dispute. 1 week later after reviewing all my evidence my bank gave me a refund reguardless of his dispute.

My point here is, If Ergo Pedic treats their own distributors this way, imagine how they treat their customers. When their standard practice is to deliver anything they want and make sure you sign it and then count on the fact you cant return it and they will win the dispute. Buyer be very aware.
