Fire Restoration & Construction - Bait & Switch - Dishonest Practices

Our house was lost in a fire in March - everything was destroyed. Wilson Construction showed up after hearing of the fire from a police scanner - that night they provided assistance with securing the property.in later meetings they discussed their expertise in fire restoration and construction - made a bid to do our rebuild - that we accepted. They delayed our job for 8 months - which caused our insurance carrier to stop paying the rent in our temporary residence. They promised to pay the rent since the delay was their fault; they only paid one month's rent - my husband and I are paying the rent.

They have mismanaged the money paid to rebuild our house so our job continues to have delays - it is almost two years later and we are still not done. We will now have to find someone else to finish the rebuild on our house.

They kept asking us for money to finish the house because they were unable to obtain a bank line of credit to fund their own jobs. This company is clearly taking money from people who are in desperate situations having suffered the catastrophic loss suffered by a fire - and using that money to work on other jobs.

The promise to finish the job at a certain price within a specific time frame with no intentions of keeping those promises.indeed, the promises are made to secure the job.

I lodged a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they changed the name of the company to Wings International.
