Doug White - American Eagle Custom Builders
Contractor takes the money and runs, cant finish the job ripoff

Anyone in the Kansas CIty area beware of doing any business with Doug White, who does business as American Eagle Custom Builders. He is a Rip Off, and a fraud. My wife and I hired him to build a 24x28 garage in our back yard. As part of our contract we paid for part of the building up front to cover materials. He never got anything more than the footing done after 8 weeks. And that was after i helped him do the excavation, and the layout. He did experie a FEW legitimate setbacks, but nothing that was worth more than a week of time, he sould have had it dont in 3 weeks, i built it on my days off in less time thatn it took him to do the footing. WE finally got him to just quit and agree to refund us the money that he owed us as a refund for unfinished work.

The deadline for him to pay us came and went. We gave him an extention, it came and went, we agreed to let him make payments, he said he would pay $1000 a month until it was paid back. He gave us a $100 that day and that was the last we got from him, that was in 1-06 we never got anything else from him and took him to court and got a judgement on him as of 9-06.

We have still not seen any money and he owes us over $6000 now. Dont hire this jerk, he comes up with every excuse in the book. Truck broke down, ground too wet, too cold, back hurts, have to babysit my kid, my mom had a heart attack, my step mom is sick, my wife is sick, my partner needs my help today, my back is out, i have "the runs", i have a migrain, i have to go see my lawyer today. And that was just part of them
