Ripped of and we feel like we bought a Yugo from a used car deale

We bought a new home from Clayton Homes in Greensboro from Russell Smith. After several atempts to get the CO, we finally moved in June.By June of hardly any of the punchlist work was completed and here it is now November and we still can not get any work done.

Bobby Alberts called me Friday October 27 and offered me $3,500 to do the work myself. I told him that My wife and I looked into Lowe's and that the materials alone from Lowes would total that amount. Not only that, we have had 3 different landscapers come here and water still settles in the driveway and there is 4 feet of electric cable (from old non-existing power box) still sticking out of the back yard. Not to mention that there handymen have come down here numerous amounts of time and have not done anything correctly.

One of them took a brand new front door assembly out of the crate and drilled a hole in the wrong place then tried to cover it with caulk. That same door is not level of plumb, neither does it have the chain on it to stop it from hitting the handrail on the steps when the wind blows the door opened.

I have a contractor that offered to do the work for $18,200. This is the figure I gave Bobby Alberts. We will see what becomes of this. I want my home completed.
