Lost car keys to my Camaro. I called Lexington Locksmith to see if they had a code reader to make a replacement key. On the telephone he claimed he did and it was advertise on his van. Later that day he made a key that requires a chip inside the key and then the alarm would need to be reprogram. When he made the key and tried it the horn and headlights flashed on and off. He open the alarm box and unhooked a wire to disconnect horn. Now the headlights stays on the entire the Camaro is on and when I parked it the headlights blinks on and off for a couple of minutes. He had not a clue how to program the alarm system Now the remote does not work and I will have to pay several hundred dollars to repair the Camaro at a dealer. I was charged almost $200.00 dollars with my triple a discount. I would not suggest anyone to use this service. Looking inside the van was a key makers and a wall full of blank keys. No code reader seen or was used. Finally, my trunk key now stick in the key hole and sometimes takes a long time to get out. I feel I was a victim of a scam.
