MSN Interior Designs Quality, Reliability, Service... NOT! Ripoff

In November I placed an order for custom fireplace doors for my fireplace from Ashwood Fire & Stove. There were some problems with the order and it wasn't finalized until December.in March the doors were delivered and installed by MSN Interior Designs, Ltd.

Later that year I noticed some bubbling on the finish. Ashwood was contacted regarding this and a representative from MSN Interior came to the house on January 23 to inspect the doors. The manufacturer was contacted and the doors were picked up on May 9. I was told to contact them in July if I hadn't heard from them by then. I called MSN and left messages on 7/17,7/25 & 8/7/06. MSN never returned any of my phone calls.

On 8/10/06 my husband contacted Ashwood directly and spoke with Steve. He will get check to the status of the doors. On 8/23/06 we spoke with Steve again and was told that the doors had been lost and new doors need to be made and it would take three weeks to do that. On or about 9/14/06 we called to check status. There was no news about the door.

On 9/16/06 we received a call from Lloyd and said there was still no word from the manufacturer, but he wanted to check base with us. On 9/20/06 I made a trip to the store to check status of the doors. I was told that they just heard from the manufacturer yesterday and they would be ready at the end of the month. Afterall there are two other customers without doors as well.

It has been 4-1/2 months since my doors have been removed from my house and there seems to be no date in sight at to when I might see them again. I would like to warn others who might consider purchasing from Ashwood, to think twice. There customer service stinks. Their demeanor toward you is patronizing.
