Gary Kendrix
Did not complete Job, ripoff

Back in November of Our gas heater went on the fritz. I called, Gary Kendrix, our Handyman to take a look at it. I have done business with him in the past and never had any troubles with him. He told me that I needed a new unit, a cost of $954.00. I said ok because we needed heat.

A day later he said since he was at it that i should have the aircounditioning A frame replaced because it was old and wore out at a cost of $600 more dollars. I trusted him because he always fixed the things in the past and gave us a good deal.

Well, He fixed the heat. Only one problem the fan wont shut off. I called him again and he said that he must have wired somthing wrong. He never came back after that. Now the summer was aproching and I called him again to ask when he would finish the job.

He gave me the excuse that he has been in the hospital and he would finish when he is up to it. Ok I believed him, I had just gone through the ordeal of losing my father to cancer. 3 months go by I call again, no answer.

Its his cell phone and the only way I know how to get intouch with him. It keept ringing. So I try again and again finially the phone says The customer your trying to reach is unavailabe. I know he turned it off because I was annoying him.

1 month later at about 9pm, guess who shows up. Gary, He tells me that he is very sorry and that his son had the phone. Bull. He was drunk as a skunk. He says slurring his words that he would be back the following monday to complete the job.

Well, Its now its July no word from him since. I still have a fan motor that wont quit. I had another person look at the unit and was able to charge my Air for another $400. Still the Fan wont shut off. The Repairman told me that He had sold me a defective unit. Stay away from Gary Kendrix the repair man.
