America's Choice Overhead Door
Ripoff Paid for, Installed, did not work, stuck with broken door for 10 days

Purchased and installed from America's Choice Overhead Door co. New garage door with new tracking and garage door opener on July 11th. On the morning of July 12th, raised the door to pull car out, but after numerous attempts, door would not go down.

Door was stuck in up position, being a single mother with no help, had no idea of how to get the door down. Called the company, they promised to send tech in afternoon of the 12th between 3-5, no show. Called again after 5, they promised to send tech the morning of July 13th at 8:00, no show, called again at 10:00, promised to send tech at 12-1:00, no show.

In the meantime, I tried to pull the release cord to get the door down, release cord pulled totally off in my hand. I had to climb up on a folding chair and take apart the rod to get the door down. Called again on the 13th, they promised someone would come again on the 14th at what ever time a tech was free, waited all day, no one ever showed. Called the morning of the 15th, spoke to the same nasty guy who was tired of me calling and was informed that even though my door was new and just installed, it was considered WARRENTY work, and warrenty work was just done on Monday's and Friday's and had to be done by the Tech that installed it, and the Tech that installed it was on vacation until the 18th of July. Called on the morning of the 18th, the Tech was back but all booked up for the entire day. Asked when he could come, they said they would get back to me, never did.

I happened to have the Tech's cell phone number, call him, he told me this was the first time he heard I had a problem with the door. He said he would try to make time in between jobs, on his own time, to come by and fix the problem. He showed up at 1:00 in the afternoon of the 18th, and took 10 mins. To fix the problem..
If I did not have his cell phone number, I would still be waiting to have my door fixed.

I paid almost $1200.00, for this door on July 11th, could not use it until the 18th, and I considered myself lucky to have it fixed when I did. If not for the Tech's cell phone number I still would be waiting.

America's Choice Overhead Door Co. Has at least 20 or more phone numbers that all route back to the same Las Vegas office that has the same nasty guy that answers the incomming calls, that by the way, refused to give me his name.
Buyers beware, take you money else where. Company goes under many different names in the Yellow pages. Even the Corporate office which has a 904 area code, routed me back to the Las Vegas office.
