Ripoff Scammed in 2000 Fred Resnick lying theif, never finished job or repairs

I contracted with MoMax 3/13. Robert Walowitz (VP of marketing/advertising) was our "sales rep" b/c the other rep could not make it. He used high pressure sales tactics and stayed in our home for over 5 hours! We even spoke with Fred that night. They wore us down until we signed that night. Robert wouldn't leave otherwise! Robert played dumb to filling out the contracts, and left many things off them. He claimed they would be completed when he returned to the office. Vague contracts, and lots of double talk!

The work never started on time-it took too long to finish also. Several things were not completed as promised and contracted. I spent $10,169.00 with MoMax. They even damaged my roof and other items beyond repair. I spent another $13,000 with Home Depot to complete MoMax's work, and repair damages.

Their shoddy work was so bad, the fascia was coming off the house only months after it was put up. Gutters were hung with clips 4 feet apart - not the required 16-18 inches. The workers were polish immigrants. ONly one spoke any English, and that was limited. They left my yard a mess, and were not there consistantly. The Foreman was never present. MoMax even pulled a little scam with the financing that I caught!

I filed complaints with the Attorney Generals Office, BBB, and on the web. I even placed a call with channel 5. At the time MoMax was a member of N.A.R.I. I also reported the issue to them, and a very helpful man named Don assisted me. They got me a little refund ($1800.00) and kicked MoMax out of NARI. Fred was forced to change all his ads at great expense.

Robert Walowitz even used my husbands business card (he's a cop) to promote the business as legit. A fellow officer even told us he flashed the card to get out of a traffic ticket! Is there no low to which they will sink?! He refused to give the card back.

I hounded Fred relentlessly about my project. He never did finish the work. Fred would curse me out, call me names. He threatened to sue ME for slander because he said my situation was full of lies. Well Fred - Karma is knocking at your door!

The Attorney Generals Office ignored my case - they closed it saying MoMax was cooperating. (which they weren't) The BBB said a complaint would remain on file, but referred me to small claims. I am calling to ask for my case to be reopened.

I filed those complaints as a warning to others, and with the hope of some restitution.instead, nobody was helped. I am disappointed that others were scammed, but am thrilled that justice is finally coming for him. I once told Fred that he was going to scam the wrong person one day. Whoever that person was that finally brought him down - GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS! You're the best!
