Never installed product not returning phone calls or refund city of industry california

On 11/04/04, i scheduled a presentation in my home with a sales rep from closet world. I was pleased with the product and presentation and after comparing companies, decided to go with them. I gave the sales rep a check for 1734.50, half of the amount due. She set up installation for 11/22/04. They would call to confirm. The installation dept said some of the product was damaged and would have to reschedule.
They rescheduled for the following friday, the 26th. One installer arrived at 2:00pm and asked to borrow 3 tools from us. He began the installation. He quick at 8:30pm. He installed about 1/8th of the closet and said he would return the next day. He called the next day at 1:00 to say he was not able to show up due to "extenuation circumstances". He said we would hear from the install. Dept. On monday the 29th. We never received a call, so i called on the 30th.
They scheduled for friday the 3rd of dec. I did tell them that they needed to arrive earlier to insure that it would be completed. The employee, clay did assure me that they would arrive between 9 and 11am. At 10:00am he called to say that only one installer would be there and would arrive between 2 and 4pm. We told him that was not satisfactory and we wished to cancel at that time and to speak to his supervisor. We spoke to a steve morales in corporate. He said we would receive a refund for the deposit and that an employee would pick up the product on saturday. No one ever showed up or called.
At this point they are not returning our phone calls. We have left messages that we will not relent and that they will be receiving a subpeona for small claims court. We also notified them that we would file a complaint with bbb and with usacomplaints.com. At this point we are extremely disappointed. We went with cw because we thought they were a reputable company. We thought wrong. Thank you for your assistance.
