Construction & Repair

Back in July my husband and I signed an agreement with Homeowners wholesale to purchase a 2063 sq ft modular home. We live in Mississippi, so I only saw the floorplan on line. Our home was supposed to be ready the first week of October. We had purchased some furniture letting the sellers know that the home would not be ready until then, and they agreed to hold it till then. Well, October came and went and it was one excuse after the other why the home was not ready. First it was the builder in Texas was not licensed to build modulars for Ms, so they went with a company in Fla. Then it was the Fla. Dealer was waiting on his license to come through. After a couple of weeks, the company had drawn up a plan that was 1972 sq ft. We had already closed on the home. I told them I was paying for a 2063 sq ft home, not a 1972 sq ft home. They had to redraw the plans, so that was another couple of weeks. Then they had to find someone to do the foundation for the home. After they found the guy to do it, he was supposed to have the foundation ready so when the home was ready it could just be placed on the foundation. Every time he said he would be at our land site to start the foundation he never showed up, and never called. When we tried to call him, there was no answer. I kept telling them that they needed to put a rush on this because a big storm system was coming our way and I told them that the ground would be too wet to do a foundation. Finally the home was ready to be delivered the end of November. The foundation still was not done. I called the guy and asked them what was I going tpo tell the movers to do with my home since there was no foundation. He said "tell them to put it somewhere safe." My new home sat in 2 parts in my yard on a trailer for 2-3 weeks, with the tires of the trailer starting to sink into the mud. They finally got the foundation done, and moved the home onto it. There were so many cracks in the ceiling and sheet rock from the move. The inside doors would not shut. The ac vents in the home were bent. They have tried to fix some of the problems, cracks, etc, but eh patched areas of the sheet rock do not match the texture of the rest of the wall. The area of the ceiling where the home was put together is just mudded and taped, they do not know how to match the texture of the surrounding ceiling. The area on the carpet where the home was put together has a gap that you feel if you are barefoot. The floors in the master bedroom, and 2nd bedroom make a weird noise when you walk across them. They hired cheap people to to the finishing work so it all looks terrible where they supposedly "fixed" the problem. I do not trust these people at all. They have lied to us since day one. I sent Brock Henning pictures of the finished work, showing him how it was not done right, and he referred to me as a "b—ch". I actually have the two emails he sent where he was down right rude to me. He thinks I am going to sign the papers so the rest of the money will be paid, but until all of these things have been corrected, he will just have to wait on the rest of his money. I have already been in contact with the Ms attorney general and have contacted HUD and the bank. Now I am going to report him to the BBB. He used to be with a company called DSH in Irving Texas, and scammed so many people. They lost their money and some never even got their home. If anyone is looking for Brock Henning, he is in Summerville S.C. Now. He changed the name, but not the game. Beware.
