I have received no response. - HP AIO printer/scanner/copier 3050A

I purchased an AIO printer from Calcutronics that does not scan. I E-mailed them a week ago, but have received no response. It seems to me that a reputable company would try to resolve such an issue imediately. I am sending the unit back in hopes they will return the money I spent on this bad experience.
