XBOX LIVE GOLD Promo Bogus - Xbox 360

Worst ever experience with promotional deals with such big vendor " Microsoft XBOX". About 3 months back, I bought a new XBOX 360 w/Kinnect. I signed up for XBOX Live & there was a promotional offer, Gold Member you get to choose a kinnect game (other games too) for free. I had no plans to try out GOLD membership this soon being new to XBOX (first ever). But this was too good of a deal and hense signed up and from promotion link ordered Kinnect Game which I was going buy on my own, a week later called XBOX customer support since I didn't get email confirmation if game order went through, got confirmation that 6-8 weeks should get my game and also to be sure got reference ID from otherside. Waited anxious for 8 weeks checking mail box every day for last 2 weeks hoping to see the game there, but nothing. Finally called XBOX support and to my disappointment was told they ran out of Kinnect games and promotion deal is gone, all they could do is give 4000 microsoft point which I cannot use to buy any Kinnect Games. So let down and felt cheated, asked to cancel Gold membership asap but this too was pro-rated so bummer, ended up loosing money, sad and frustated for waiting too long for game which I could have bought with pro-rated money I lost.
