Faulty made and no recourse

I purchased a set of hill river trousers at our regional goodys store. The freezer is defective and certainly will not remain together. I bought them at normal shop cost. Since they're losing sight of company, they WOn't pay me BY ANY MEANS. So... If you should be losing sight of company, you don't need to remain behind your defective items???
