Terrible Customer Service Rude Staff

I have always been a big fan of Subway sandwiches, but I am getting sick and tired of the poor service I receive at the various franchises. Today's events was just about the last straw for me. I work near this particular Subway, so it's convenient to stop there and pick up dinner on my way to work. Today I stopped in around 6:00 P.M. I was pleased because, for were present.

However, one teen girl was sitting on the floor in front of the soda maching, whining about not wanting to touch something (I assume she was cleaning under there.) She continued to yell her complaints up to the ONE person who was actually working, a harried-looking woman who was doing her best to be pleasant while the rest of her coworkers lounged around chatting.

A line formed behind me, and still no one else came to the front to help out. The woman began making my sandwich and apologized for my wait. Meanwhile, the girl on the floor was yelling up to the one making the sandwiches, asking her to get something for her, as if the woman had nothing better to do and there were no one else to do it!

So after my meat and cheese were on the bread, my sandwich was passed to a very unfriendly young girl who did not look at me and just slapped my toppings on the bread, wrapped it up and tossed it toward the register. No "thanks, have a good day" or even a grunt in my direction. I stood there for some time, waiting for someone to ring me up. Nothing happened. I finally said, "Excuse me, is someone going to check me out here?" Boy, did that get me a dirty look from the crabby girl. The one pleasant woman directed one of the loungers to ring me up under her code. He did so, and I was finally on my way.

This Subway has had bad customer service for a long time now; like I said, the reason I go there is simply out of proximity to my workplace.

In addition to the poor service there, several of the staff—male and female— have long hair, which is usually hanging all over the place. Sure, it may be somewhat back in a ponytail, but still falling out. YUCK! What ever happened to HAIRNETS?

I have reported this location to the Subway Headquarters more than once, by leaving a voicemail message on their customer comment line, but have never seen improvement. At least by leaving my story here, maybe some other people will take notice and let Subway stores know that customers will not just put up with shoddy service and unsanitary conditions!
