Chocolate Milk - poor service

I went to a (forlack of better word) multipurpose Dunkin Dounuts here in Elizabeth, NJ, Broad Street, Multpupose because its a Gas station, a min mart store and a Dunkin Dounuts. Before I got in Line for my Coffee I went to the referigator and selected 2 chocolate Milks for my kids, I then got in line and ordered my coffee and proceeded to pay for everything at the DD counter, only to be told by cashier that I could not pay for the milk at the DD counter and that I would have to stand in another line at the mini mart to pay for the chocalate milk. This makes no sense and its a waste of time. At all of the DD that I have been to you can purchase milk, soda, juice so what is the big deal on adding that option to the DD cash register? I was told by the mini mart cashier that "its not gonna change" so basically complaing to her was usless, so I decided not to buy the milk, How nasty! Customer service gets lost in greed sometimes!
