Cheated employees out of discounts manager nepotism rude to customers chitzy with toppings

I'm 36 and worked at the Kellogg Subway for 4 months, at first I liked the job even though it was hard and the manager insisted on hiring family members... 3 besides herself. Two were just teens and started 6 weeks after I got there... I really enjoyed these young people, very nice hard working kids... But her Son-in-Law to be also worked there... He was all about telling everyone else what to do so he didn't have to do it himself.

Several times this young jerk tried to order me around... When I refused to be ordered around by a brat we had words. The manager stuck up for him most of the time. People kept telling me how rude he was, but he kept bragging about his customer service skills and the manager ignores any bad comments about him. Total nepotism.

Then the manager took away our discounts... The 5 of us who weren't related had to pay full price unless we worked a 4 hour shift... But her family go to keep their 50% discounts. Even giving discounts to friends when they brought them in.

The store overprices it's product and cheaps out on the toppings. We were only allowed to put three olive slices per 6" sub and when people asked for more we could put only 3 more on.

I got chastised several times for putting a few extra toppings on when people asked for them, but she never said a word to her kids when they would do the same thing.

Several customers have told me they would never come back because of how rude the manager is and lets some of her employees be to customers.

I quit because I couldn't take it anymore and because in spite of all her promises, she never gave me enough hours to support my family. Her kids and son-in-law got them all.
