I didnt know being sick was a reason to fire someone

I had been working at the Burger King in Sturbridge for a little over a year and my boyfriend and i decided to go out to eat one night. Well i had to work at 630 am - 130 pm the next day. At around 930 the night before i got really sick, to the point i couldn't even stand up. I figured id sleep it off but i woke up every hour on the hour with the sweats and throwing up. So it was about 4 am and i had texted my manager to tell her that i wasn't going to be in because i know she doesn't get service at her house so i was going to call her at about 615am. Well i had told my boyfriend to wake me up at that time so i can call my manager. Well i ended up falling asleep at the toilet and woke up around 730am.
I called my manager to explain to her what happened and she didn't feel the need to listen and then fired me right then and there. So a few weeks passed and ive been struggling to find a job and i get a text from my friend and she told me that someone who had got fired before me for being intoxicated got re-hired. So i figured that my manager would let me come back seeing as that i always there for them when they needed someone to work and this was a good opportunity. Well there was other things in mind. She denied me my job because i called out too much. I only called out two times in the year and a few weeks i was there and they were both legit reasons. Its just not fair that he gets his job back and he use to call out all the time and he was intoxicated and hes wanted for RAPE!!! He shouldn't be in that kind of industry.
