Beverly Hills Grill Rude, Inappropriate language/behavior, Awful food

This, by far, was the worse dining experience I have ever had. My husband and I were celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary. I decided that I wanted to make reservations for some place that was kind of upscale, yet also somewhere where we have never been before.

I called The Beverly Hills Grill in Beverly Hills, Michigan. When I called, a lady answered the phone. I asked if I needed to make reservations. She chuckled, and said "Yeah, we've got 'em lined out the door. You have got to be kidding with the way this economy is."

Reluctantly, I made reservations. When at 7:50 pm we arrived there were only TWO tables with diners at. The place was dirty, dirty plates right at the hostess booth. The hostess told us to 'chill' and someone would be right with us. At the same time, we notice THREE employees doing shots at the bar while using profanity as they talked about sex. We stood waiting for 40 minutes. Finally, my husband asks if we can be seated. I'm thinking this gentleman is the manager at this point. He actually tells us to "pop a squat" at the bar.

We figure at this point we could use a drink. My husband orders us both a glass of wine. The bartender actually tells us that the wine we are ordering 'sucks' but to 'each his own'.

Thus far, this whole experience is like a joke. Finally we get seated, my husband and I both order. For curiousity, my husband asks the waitress if this was a normal night. Her response, "it's been kind of slow for a while now, with the economy being so S*Y and all." We can visibly notice that she is intoxicated herself, as she was one of the three at the bar.

When we finally do get our dinners, my husband bites into something. We both assumed by the way he described it, that it might be a shrimp, lobster, or shrimp shell. My husband is forced to spit it out. It is someone's fingernail.

We felt compelled to tell our waitress about this as well as the rest of our dining experience. She did apologize and had the manager or chef visit our table. He didn't even offer to remake my husband's entree but rather offered us a coupon for a free appetizer on our next visit.

We both thought, you have got to be kidding. Needless to say, I would not recommend this place.
