Overcharging

I simply moved in to the community and was revelling in my own new found metropolitan lifestyle. I loved walking along towards the nearby Starbucks, and did so last Saturday, March 1 to buy the Miami Herald. That evening, it had been $1.25 (the designated cost) plus tax = $1.34. Nowadays, because I had been in more of the rush, I went with precisely $1.34 in my own wallet to buy the document again.

The cashier rung up the cost as $1.61. I noticed that that might be about 30% duty also it must be the $1.34 that I settled a week ago, pointing her focus on the designated cost of $1.25. She decided and named within the supervisor, who mentioned that it rings up at $1.50 and there is nothing he might do. I discussed which was incorrect, perhaps illegitimate, which I introduced with me-only the $1.34 that I settled the week formerly for the reason that very area. He asked whether I understood where or what evening I purchased the paper, but I definitley understood it had been there. He explained, "Well there's nothing I will do. I can not bypass the pc; you are able to spend $1.61 or proceed." Good customer support. I agreed to tender the $1.34 in my own palm that was not approved.

I've many gripes about that: (1) I'd spend the $1.61, if which were the cost ($1.25 was OBVIOUSLY noted whilst the cost of the document); (2) their failure to treat my criticism, particularly having compensated face-value merely a week previously; and (3) their total insufficient respect, particularly in this economy, to make things right having a paying client. I will not be back.
