Suparossa Italian Restaurant
Dishonest, liars, theives, this company will rip you off if you don't be careful Ripoff Chicago

Cafes, Bars, Restaurants

I have been visiting the Suparossa Italian Restaurant in Woodridge, Illinois for over ten years. Before this year, the restaurant was one of my favorite Italian restaurants to eat at. The enviroment used to be friendly, familiar, and wonderful. The first of this year, everything changed for the worse.

New management came in and the service has been absolutely horrific since then. The main reason I feel ripped off is because during one of my visits in March, I was convinced by my server to sign up for a "frequent diners program" According to the sign up sheet, it was only one-time $10 registration fee and the benefits were tremendous including racking up points for each dollar spent, receiving gift certificates in return for increased business.

To really hook me, it said IN WRITING, that I would receive a $15 gift card just for signing up. Well please, be-ware that this is a scam to get you to sign up! I never saw anything in return and the management was very reluctant to even consider helping me, the general manager Doug Goehring was even rude to me and treating me like I was an inconvience rather than a paying and loyal customer!

I have sworn to never return to this restaurant again after seeing a cockroach crawling in the bathroom of the private room during a rehearsal dinner I attended in October. If they are in the bathroom, just imagine where else they are (GROSS)

Besides that, there is constantly new employees in there, I really don't know where they are getting these servers from. Maybe the unemployment office because they are absolutely horrible. The restaurant used to be staffed with super friendly people, who stuck around for years. Then it became a new face each and every visit. My server reaked of booze during one night out and was embarrassing myself in front of my children. I wanted to talk to the manager about it, but he was obviously under the influence also and verbally abusing a busser right in front of customers, so I just left upset.

The reason I wrote this report, is because while browsing my best friend's local Woodridge newspaper I read an ad placed by Suparossa that read "warm, friendly, family enviroment" and had to literally laugh out loud. This ad just goes to show how unethical this new management, John and Carm Ricchio are, and they only care about the almighty dollar. Woodridge citizens need to beware of this place!

If you don't believe me, please try the place yourself. You will be greated by the wicked witch of the west at the front desk (they used to have a very friendly, nice young girl at that desk for a very long time) She may smile at you, but watch out because she is very nasty if you catch her at the wrong time. She also looks like a washed up bronx streetwalker so bringing family there may be embarassing from the first step inside. The service will appaul you, and you will leave upset that you wasted your valuable money when you could have enjoyed a great Italian restaurant such as: La Sorella di Francesca: Naperville, Marinella's Italian: Glen Ellen, or Luigi's in Aurora (definately worth the trip out there yum) and some other lovely places in lisle and surrounding areas.
