Mario (owner) Cuginos Restaurant ripoff Unathorized charge on our Master card, refusal to pay it back, owner Mario, Screaming, insulting scam to ask customer for cash, then they charge card to make extra money!

On Sunday May 14th at 1: pm my husband Matthew Jose and I went to dine at Cugino's restaurant. At the end of the meal the bill arrived and was to be split with credit between us and friends. Our portion came to $69.99 we gave the manager our credit card and he returned to say it was declined, this was impossible because in 5years we have never had a problem with this card. He tried this card 6 more times and the manager said it was declined, not only were we humiliated but we wound up giving them $80.00 in cash, my husband was suspicious and looked up his account online to show that Cuginos did an unathorized charge on our card but the amount was more than the bill! The amount was for $83.95 we went back to the restaurant to be told that he wasn't going to pay us and didn't belive it, we showed him the proof and told him we were calling the police, he said he didn't care and was insulting, disrespectful and yelling.

We got master card on the phone, the woman we spoke with got her supervisor on the phone and confirmed that they had infact charged our card $83.95, she demanded to speak to the owner Mario, when we got back in the restaurant Mario refused to speak to the woman at master card, he said "I don't want to deal with this" he then proceeds to insult me and scream curses insults infront of his customers! It was unbelievable and his cousin (the manager) stepped in and said I made a mistake on their card and I was the one that charged it, Mario didn't care and continued to scream, curse etc... My husband tried to reason with him and say (do you understand that your cousin has just admitted to this) Mario said I don't care you blamed me and you get out. I think that this is a raquet at Cuginos has with thier customers, it is a wealthy area where people don't always look at the bill, they take advantage say your declined and you pay cash and they charge your card anyway, and hope you don't look at your statement or by the time you do it's too late!!!
